Jody Langdon

Centre Cook

Hi, my name is Jody, I am the Centre Cook here at Reach for the Stars.

I initially came from a baking background having worked at Progressive Enterprises for 15 years, then a small craft bakery for 3 years.
Following that I worked for a local food production company called Manly Park Kitchen as a chef.

I then went back to baking for a year, but I missed cooking for people, so I applied for the Centre Cook position here at Reach for the Stars.
Cooking for the children at Reach for the Stars is a pleasure as I love cooking, and seeing the children enjoy my food is a compliment second-to-none.

Family is important to me, I have raised my son who is now 19 and he will be in his 2nd year at Auckland University next year studying for a Bachelor of Commerce. I am very proud of who he has become as a young adult in today’s world.

I live on the Hibiscus Coast with its many wonderful beaches. I love that we as Aucklanders have so many beaches to choose from and you can quite often find me walking or swimming at the beach and hopefully on my paddle board this summer. I would also like to learn to surf.
I’m looking forward to meeting and getting to know all the centres children and families.
