Hello, my name is Carole and I am the Centre Manager at Reach for the Stars.

I graduated from AUT in 2006 with a Bachelor of Teaching (ECE Montessori) and have been working in early childhood for 15 years. My family and I live on the North Shore. I am a mother of 2 children, a 16 year old son, Chris, and a 12 year old daughter, Elsie. I am happily married to my husband Edward.

I have been in leadership roles for more than half of my teaching career, as head teacher and Centre Manager. During my teaching journey, I developed my teaching philosophy and further developed my leadership skills. I am passionate about Early Childhood Education, particularly Montessori and Reggio Emilia teaching approaches. I believe they can be used together with Te Whariki to provide a holistic development for our precious children to support them to reach for the stars and their full potential.

I look forward to using my professional knowledge and skills to make learning fun and enjoyable for the children and families. Please introduce me to your children and yourselves so I can learn your names as quickly as I can. I can’t wait to meet you all soon!
